Learning through fun aged 8-18

Our welcoming, family-friendly sailing club supports young people to learn to sail and enjoy water-based activities.

Supported entirely by club volunteers who are RYA instructors, experienced sailors, and parents, we ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on and off the water.

We aim to foster a love for sailing and build confidence both on the water and in life. Participants range from ages 8 to 18. What's involved?

• Kayaking and paddle boarding

We provide sailing equipment and wetsuits at no cost, and offer a variety of club dinghies like Optibats, Toppers, Fevas, Laser 2000s, and Visions.

Young sailors are encouraged and supported to invest in their own boat.

Sessions run alternate Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with social time afterwards.

Our well-stocked galley and bar are available for members and guests, and we often set up the large BBQ outside.

There's great camaraderie among our young sailors, who enjoy the social aspects as much as sailing.

Parents must accompany their children and help support the sessions and can learn to sail and drive powerboats through our club training programmes.

We welcome all parents with a tour of the clubhouse and ways to get involved.

Sessions are run based on the number of volunteers at the time and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
