AGM It was good to see so many at the AGM, and a good discussion on a number of areas. Thank you to those members who have served on the committees over the last year. Your contribution to running the club are invaluable. To those new to a committee, thank you for offering your time and support. I look forward to catching up over the winter | October Activities Why not make the final sail of the season next Sunday at 10AM. We lift the slipway at 8AM on Saturday 25 October with the water users meeting due to go ahead at noon. The galley will be open providing food, ensure you bring a change of clothes! Can boats on the upper level be moved before 25 October so we have easy access to store the slipway sections. |

Tidying the Club Over the winter we will be tidying up the clubhouse, promenade and stores. We ask all members to remove their equipment, boats, kayaks by 16 November. This includes kayaks on racks and boats on the prom. The exception is those that have booked winter parking on the upper level. For any equipment still at the club after the 16 November will be served notice for its removal. We will hold a boat jumble in late February/early March of equipment not removed. |
General Committee Decisions A general committee was held on 9 October. A number of areas were discussed. Key decisions include - -Ordering new windows for the front of the east wing of the club, subject to a couple of clarifications.
- -To organise a Sailing Instructors Course and First aid course, primarily for club members but open to non-members. For members committed to supporting the sail training programme this will be free. For more information feel free to discuss with me.
