Club Week - Brilliant!

Club Week 2026 was well attended by cadets and helpers alike and everyone had a fantastic time. We welcomed some new members who got off to a great start. The cadets managed the conditions well and the more experienced cadets were using spinnakers and trying out trapezing for the first time. We were lucky to have an educational visit from the RNLI to talk about water safety. Thanks to everyone involved.

A big shout out to Linda, who seems to be tirelessly plying everyone with food at any given opportunity! (Club Week, Training Days, Race Days and social evenings) It is much appreciated by the many!

On the Horizon, the next major events are...

Sat 12th - St George's Cup - racing on a Saturday - let's all get involved.

The historic St George's Cup sees Herne Bay, Hampton Pier and Tankerton sailing clubs competing in two back-to-back races at Hampton.

Cadets will be joining in too, with some racing and others enjoying activities ashore.

Whether you're a club racer, Cadet, Improver or novice, let's get as many boats on the water as we can. You don't necessarily have to race - why not sail down, support those who are racing and be part of the afternoon?

Briefing is at HBSC at 11:30, with racing from 13:00 and prize giving at Hampton Pier Yacht Club in the evening.

Sun 13th - Another busy day at the club, with Autumn Series racing and Bart's Bash in the afternoon, followed by the AGM.

Our AGM follows the sailing on Sunday. Come along, hear what's happening, and help support the running of your club.

Later in September...

Autumn Series racing and our regular Saturday sailing continue throughout the month, finishing with a round of Feva racing on September 27th.
