Our Club Volunteering is the heart of our club, it's great to see so many activities being run by volunteers. With Training so important to the club and our member I want to give a shout out to: Adrian Pinn, Nathan Hudson and the sail training team; we had a full RYA inspection this month, Whilst there are always actions action from the inspections the inspector was complementary in regards to our documentation and on the water sessions. To all the sailing instructors; we have run two courses over recent months. This has both brought in new members and allowed current member to improve their skills. |
Club Week Our annual week of events is here. Members, both cadets and adults, get a chance to enjoy a week of events and activities. It starts at 10AM on Monday with cadet events that continue to Wednesday. Thursday is a cruise and Friday general sailing. Wednesday evening sees some club racing. | Events Other notable events this month include a cruise to Minnis Bay on 31 August and on 24 August we will host the St Georges Cup with Hampton Peir YC, while Tankerton Bay Sailing club are joining us for the first time. |

 Social Evening | OK Eastern Championship and Social Event The OK's join us for the 9/10 August for their Eastern Championship. We are laying on food and music by Andy Mack as a club social event which all members and friends are welcome to join. |

Dinner & Dance Dinner Dance We will be holding an end of season dinner and dance at Canterbury Golf Club, Littlebourne on 14 November. The music is provided by Nightwatch a local band. We will enjoy a 2 course meal and includes a short prize giving session. Tickets cost £40 and you can sign up on SCM and make a bank transfer. Family and Friends are welcome |
AGM 14 September Our annual general meeting will be held 2PM Sunday 14 September at the club. If there are any items you would like considered for the agenda please email info@hernebaysailingclub.co.uk. A number of members will be stepping down after many years of service. A vacancy list will be distributed shortly.
