Welcome to edition 41 of the Bulletin, the regular communication keeping you informed of things happening at HBSC.
Funeral of Phil Rees
Phil's funeral will take place at 11am Thursday 29th February at Memorial Faversham, Staple Street, Boughton under Blean ME13 9HY https://www.kentmemorial.co.uk/contact-us/find-us/ Everyone is welcome and there will be a gathering at the Club from 12:30, the bar will be open.
It is very useful to have an idea of numbers for catering purposes, so please can you let David Hogben know davehogben@btinternet.com if you intend to come along to the club. If you know of anyone else that would like to attend please pass this message on to them. If anyone has walking difficulties we can arrange for the barrier on the promenade to be lifted to allow for easier access.
No flowers please. Donations will be to the Air Ambulance, details will be available on the day. Please wear something bright and cheerful! With many thanks, Bryony, Phil's Wife.

Volunteer/duty slots for 2024
An important note from Pater Falcini, our new volunteer co-ordinator:
" With the calendar live for booking your volunteer slots this year, please sign up. If you enjoy planning ahead for the year or just the next coming weekend, there are sure to be something you can do.
The season opens mid March with the slipway being laid, as I covered in my email, it's a great way to meet new and old friends.look forward to meeting you on the sea front. Many thanks Peter"
A huge thank you to those who have kept the club running over the winter with planning the sailing programme, cadet socials, attending the work parties and maintenance and supporting the bar when it has been open.

NEW WhatsApp group! This aim of this group is for female members to mutually support each other and to encourage participation in club on the water activities and volunteering/duties.
