WhatsApp groups

There are a number of WhatsApp groups that members can join. They are not a formal means of communication but nonetheless, very useful to share interests and chit-chat.

Sailing related chat: https://chat.whatsapp.com/GxkS5XCSChm75tiun3969K

Female Participation: This aim of this group is for female members to mutually support each other and to encourage participation in club on the water activities and volunteering/duties. https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ki783uVEAJPBz7AzELtgWH. This is a very new group and we hope that the people who would like to participate will shape and evolve the group as required.

KSSA Opening Splash Saturday 20th April

We are hosting this event - it is an all day Regatta for the youth of Kent. Events - KSSA https://kssa.co.uk/event/2024-opening-splash-regat...

We encourage our cadets to participate in this event. It is being run and organised by Kent Schools Sailing Association in conjunction with our club.

Owing to the success of the KSSA training we hosted last Autumn, we have been asked to host this prestigious event. We are expecting up to 55 boats which means that we need lots of help: Beach party, galley, safety boat and general support. Please sign up on SCM if you can help. If anyone would like to bake any cakes or sweet treats these are hugely appreciated. If you would like further information, please contact Russell Kyte or Laurie Dengate.

There are many benefits to hosting this event. Not only does this allow our cadets to get first hand experience without having to travel, it provides an income stream, supports our sport and highlights to the sailing community what a great sailing venue we have. Please support this event.
