Club survey

Friday Night Bar

The bar continues to be open every Friday night with a special push for end of the Month payday drinks! Bring your friends and family down and enjoy a drink in the sailing club

Friday 12th October- curry night and St Georges Cup presentation

Due to popular demand we are at capacity! 7.30pm, £8 adults, £4 cadets - card payment is preferred. The cadets will be selling ice cream for dessert to raise money for club boats so leave room for pudding and bring a bit of cash! 100 club draw also will take place.

Saturday 13th October - Final cadet session

With light winds forecast it's looking like we can get out one final time! The plan is to use the Visions and 2000 to get as many cadets and parents, and cadet helpers as possible out sailing with the young people to round the season off. Sorry, this does mean that we cannot offer any adult bookings for Saturday. Thank you to everyone who has given their time to support our novice sailors this season outside of the framework of the formal courses, it's been great to be able to share skills, experience and confidence throughout the summer!

The galley will be open and there is going to be hot snacks available after sailing

Sunday 14th October - final fling 10am start

Let's go out with a bang - how many boats can we get out on the water for our final sail? Simone will be creative in the galley with what's in the cupboard 'Eat the galley empty' saves you cooking! £3 - bargain, served from 2pm-4pm. Everyone is welcome, sailors and non sailors!

Saturday 19th October - slipway Upping

Lots of volunteering opportunity for the slipway upping - it's a race against the tide to get the slipway up so the more people who can help, the quicker it will be. The galley is open so we will be well-looked after from a refreshment wellbeing perspective! If you can help, please sign up on SCM. Thank you.

Google reviews

If you have 5 spare minutes, please can you do a Google Review for the club? It helps our visibility! https://g.page/r/CTXtXyATLVIFEAE/review Thank you!

Kayaks on racks and in the store

We have had great success identifying the kayaks - thank you! If you still need to pick up your tag (and attach it to the kayak), please do so asap. The remaining tags will be on a table in the main room of the clubhouse in named envelopes from this Saturday. As stated in July, over the winter, we will be reviewing the kayaks on the racks/in the store and removing those that are not identifiable as belonging to members of the club.

100 Club

I'm reaching out as I have recently taken over the HBSC 100 club lottery from Steve and Jane. As part of the transition process, unfortunately Nationwide are making us set up a new bank account. So we are reaching out to all the 100 club members with the new standing order details that we need everyone to switch to.

I am sorry it is a real pain, but please could you set up new standing orders to the below account and then cancel the old ones. Much appreciate if you can confirm when you have, my phone number is below if its easier to message on whatsapp.

Please message me for bank details.

We really appreciate your continued support with fund raising for the club by participating in the 100 club lotto. The next draw will be taking place at the Curry night social on the 11th Oct.....good luck!

Kind regards, Pete Bradshaw 07812158383
