The main story of the weekend is based on the fact that Graham Harbord who lives on Ashdown Forrest West Sussex travelled all the way to Herne Bay to help with the slipway maintenance. Best part of a 150 mile round trip. Karl's statement for the defence was that the tide was a Low tide but seemed to come in faster than expected. Hence we have pictures of Graham doing a submariner job under the slipway.Hope you didn't drink too much of that Southern Water Board water Graham you might end up glowing in the dark.

Olaf also turned up sporting a fetching pair of Calvin Kline swimwear straight off the cat walk and got stuck in with the rest of the magnificent seven who turned up at 7.00am for slipway maintenance.

This all to enable the "Match Racing" to go ahead as planned, and a great competition it was. A great big thank you to Laurie for organising it.

Congratulations to Brian & Maria and Micheal & Magdalena who after four races each had three wins each so for the first time we had a draw in the match racing. I am informed that the racing entertained the crowds on the beach and in the club house as well as sailors who took part. Thanks to all who showed up, and who were brave enough to have a go. This year we saw some great pre-start maneuvers and some of the best close starts ever seen in our club match racing. See you all at the next one?

Magdalena version 2 seems to be as enthusiastic as the previous version, but her text on WhatsApp to everyone this morning suggested that she might need a brand new body after her first big event at the sailing club. Well done Magdalena!!
