Club Week: Monday 24th July

Message from Adrian Pinn, cadet co-ordinator:

Club Week is upon us; Monday the 24th to Thursday the 27th of July 2023.

Monday through to Wednesday we will be doing as much sailing as possible.

Other craft will be available.

On Thursday we plan to go on a cruise East or West of the Club House along the coast.

All activities will be subject to change dependant on the weather and the cadets present.

Please bring a willingness to get stuck in and help the week go well.

Normal wet gear for sailing and watersports is needed and although the Galley will be open, packed lunches are always a good idea.

We will start at 10:00 and continue until we stop, breaking for lunch at a suitable point. We have up to 15 children expected on each day and I hope everyone will have a lot of fun.

Any questions please do not hesitate to email back and I look forward to seeing you all through the week. Also please note that parents are required to stay for the entirety of the day.

The BBQ will be available if anyone wants to bring their own food and prepare it for themselves.

The bar will certainly be open at the end of the day, (probably earlier....)

Dinner and dance end of year celebration, 25th November 2023

Hi all members old and new. A quick reminder to pencil 2 th Nov into your calendars if you wish to come to the annual end of season dinner and dance. If you are new to the club the evening is a time to give out a few trophies, say a few thank you's but mainly to have a great time socialising and dancing the night away. The venue will be at the Marine Hotel in Tankerton. If you fancy staying over for the night book the hotel direct. There will be a three course meal, menu choices will be sent out to ticket holders. The hotel chef can cater for food allergies etc, just let us know nearer the time. We have booked a great six piece band "The Chillbillies" who had everyone up on the dance floor last year. Dress code is wear your best, so come in what makes you feel special. If you wish to bring friends and family we can have between 8 and 10 on a table.

Tickets will be by email and are available now. Early bird price is £45 per person up to Sept 1 st . After that tickets will be £50 per person. So book early, especially if you are booking a whole table.

You can pay for tickets in three ways:

Cash: paid into the bar till. Please put a note in the till with the money so Dave and Jenny know where the extra money has come from.

Sum up machine: Bar or Galley

Bank transfer: HBSC, sort code 40-24-12, Acc No. 61409611, payment Ref. Dinner and Dance.

Whichever method you choose please email Jim and Viv stating how you paid and number of tickets required. We will then add you to the list of attendees and keep you informed of menu etc.
