Welcome to edition 22 of the Bulletin, the regular communication keeping you informed of things happening at HBSC.
Sailing This Weekend:

Friday 28th July: club cruise. Karl and Simone have offered safety cover. If you would like to go, please let them know via the HBSC Chat on WhatsApp, or Karl 07860189458. Start time will be 6pm on the water (different to the club calendar time)
Saturday 29th July: Swale Barge Race, starts at Sand End Buoy at 11am. In the past we have sailed out to the Pier Head area together to watch some of the boats sail past. If you would like to be part of this, we plan to be on the water at 11am, ready to sail out. Be there for 10am to allow time to rig, etc. Wind forecast
Sunday 30th July: 10am start for racing: Summer 8,9, lunch, Summer 10. Race officer, safety boat and galley slots are available please sign up on SCM.

Dinner and dance end of year celebration, 25th November 2023
Hi all members old and new. A quick reminder to pencil 25th Nov into your calendars if you wish to come to the annual end of season dinner and dance. If you are new to the club the evening is a time to give out a few trophies, say a few thank you's but mainly to have a great time socialising and dancing the night away. The venue will be at the Marine Hotel in Tankerton. If you fancy staying over for the night book the hotel direct. There will be a three course meal, menu choices will be sent out to ticket holders. The hotel chef can cater for food allergies etc, just let us know nearer the time. We have booked a great six piece band "The Chillbillies" who had everyone up on the dance floor last year. Dress code is wear your best, so come in what makes you feel special. If you wish to bring friends and family we can have between 8 and 10 on a table.
Tickets will be by email and are available now. Early bird price is £45 per person up to Sept st .After that tickets will be £50 per person. So book early, especially if you are booking a whole table.
You can pay for tickets in three ways:
Cash: paid into the bar till. Please put a note in the till with the money so Dave and Jenny know where the extra money has come from.
Sum up machine: Bar or Galley
Bank transfer: HBSC, sort code 40-24-12, Acc No. 61409611, payment Ref. Dinner and Dance.
Whichever method you choose please email Jim and Viv stating how you paid and number of tickets required. We will then add you to the list of attendees and keep you informed of menu etc.
